At 3-Ci Manufacturing, we believe that innovation starts early—and we’re proud to support the next generation of engineers and inventors. That’s why we were thrilled to sponsor Team 45519C NPC.exe from STEM Innovation Academy in Calgary as they competed at the VEX Robotics Competition World Championship in Dallas, Texas.

This high school robotics team joined more than 400 teams from 43 countries for a global showdown of STEM excellence. The students had a blast collaborating, competing, and learning alongside some of the world’s brightest young minds. Their robot performed exceptionally well—winning 7 out of 10 matches and finishing in the top third of both their division and the skills challenge.

But they didn’t just bring back experience—they brought back hardware.

Team NPC.exe earned the Energy Award in the Spirit Division, an honour that recognized their infectious enthusiasm, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Their spirit made a lasting impression on everyone they met, demonstrating that determination and positivity are inextricably linked with innovation.

We were proud to stand alongside fellow sponsors Money Architect, Ash Grove, Beltline Dental Care, NED Scholars, and U Tech in helping make this journey possible.

National Recognition in STEM Innovation

The momentum didn’t stop in Dallas. STEM Innovation Academy students also captured national attention at the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition—where over 90 schools across Canada competed to create solutions to real-world challenges.

Representing the school were students Joel and Jason, who placed 2nd in the country with their groundbreaking invention: the Hero Chair—a wheelchair for individuals with paraplegia that’s powered by brainwave and eye-tracking technology. Despite unexpected delays in their equipment arriving on time, the team rebuilt their prototype in record time and presented flawlessly at Samsung’s HQ in Toronto.

Their accomplishments were rewarded with:

These achievements highlight the importance of empowering students with the tools, mentorship, and support they need to lead the future of accessible, cutting-edge technology.

Investing in the Next Generation

At 3-Ci, we don’t just manufacture advanced cable solutions—we invest in the future. These students exemplify the values we stand for: resilience, creativity, and collaboration.

We’re honoured to have played a role in their journey and will continue to support initiatives that inspire innovation and empower youth across Canada.
